someone with java programming knowledge willing to modify gnucash2qif to generate scheduled transactions correctly?

A first note:  the program is GnuCashToQIF ('to', not '2').  Hopefully

I took a look this weekend, and GnuCashToQIF ignores <gnc:schedxaction>
elements when loading the GnuCash file.  The input file I used was
generated by GnuCash 2.2.2.

Are you using an older version of GnuCash?  If so, how does that
version store the scheduled transactions in the file?
