How to check upcoming tranactions by account

There's no really good approach to this, I'm afraid.

You could have the template transaction state "FUTURE" or something in the
memo, then manually edit it out when you review the created
transactions... but that's lame.


Note that with respect to the fixed vs. variable amount issue, take a look at
<http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/FAQ#Q:_How_do_I_use_variables_and_formula_in_scheduled_transactions.3F>.
However, also note that if you use a variable in the template transaction of
an SX, it will not allow you to create it automatically (though you can still
create it in advance).
