I've been running 2.0.5 for quite some time on a 2 Ghz Core 2 Duo
laptop and startup takes on the order of 10 seconds (Gentoo Linux,
Fluxbox window manager). And I've got *years* of data -- 19 Mb
uncompressed. The only performance problem is the reports, which have
been discussed at length recently.
