Upgrade Gotchas? (Especially FreeBSD)

As I discovered last week, for on-line banking with HBCI there is a 
aqbanking2 inability to cope with banks that do not send certificates 
(9010 error message).
Aqbanking3 is reported to have fixed this problem.   But gnucash 2.2.x 
still requires aqbanking2.  So if you need to use HBCI you may encounter 
this problem.

The question is when will gnucash adopt aqbanking3 ?
