IIF import

We have >10 years worth of Quickbooks accounting data, and
the version we use now is Quickbooks 2003. Unfortunately
Quickbooks 2003 can only export in IIF format.

Is there a way to import the information contained in our files
to Gnucash without loss of data? If Gnucash is not able to
read/import IIF files, must an intermediate application exist
to convert IIF to a format that Gnucash can read?

Yes, I've searched the MLs first regarding that matter.
