Balance sheet + Income Statement periods: how to?

I am doing my accounting.
My accounting period is 18 months.

how do I display the balance sheet and Income statement from 01/06/07 until
now??
how can I export it?

I've tried setting it up in the "preferences" but it doesn't work.
