Decimal Places and Rounding

I've played with every option I can find:  The preferences settings and the fraction settings in specific to the account, but I can't seem to enter a transaction without gnucash rounding it to 2 decimals.  Even when it's displaying 6 decimals and I enter a value to the 6th decimal place, it immediately rounds it when I tab off of it.  How do I set it up so that it doesn't round?  Thanks.
