Self-Installing GC for Windoze?

I would like to install GC on my XP laptop. I have been using it for
years on my Linux (now Kubuntu) desktop and want to be sure that the
same GC data file can be used on both machines.
I see that the GC site says that: "GnuCash 2.2.7 can be downloaded from
gnucash.org or sourceforge.net. It is available as source code. For the
Microsoft Windows operating system there is a self-installing setup
program which includes all necessary additional libraries. "
But all I see that is downloadable is the "source code Windows
binary" file. Is this the file that will self-install GC complete?
With a couple of tiny exceptions I operate only from the GUI as I do
   not know "compile" from compost.
   Thank you!
