Multiple files open in GnuCash at once?

As others have explained before you can have multiple sets of accounts.

I added a shortcut to my panel which starts GnuCash empty without
opening an account file using the command:

gnucash --nofile


I then open the accounts with File->Open or pick them from the recently
used file list.
