OK, not surprising, I suppose. Try:

$ sudo /Applications/Gnucash.app/Contents/Resources/bin/gnc-fq-update

That assumes that you installed Gnucash.app in your Applications folder. If you put it somewhere else, you'll have to substitute the absolute path of that folder for "/Applications" in the command above.
