Colin,
Try opening up the main data file. And in general, to anyone using Gnucash
without an automated backup system, I highly recommend setting up a Dropbox
account (www.getdropbox.com) with their little app which lives in the
taskbar and automatically syncs a `My Dropbox' folder across all the
computers you set it up on, and also stores several revisions on its central
server (you get 2 GB of storage and more is available for a fee:
https://www.getdropbox.com/help/15). It works through firewalls and on both
Windows and Linux. Just put your Gnucash files in the `My Dropbox' folder
and you're done.
