There is a bug in all 2.2.x versions that can make this message appear if
you go to create a brand new transaction and accidentally press enter before
you type in any data. It has already been fixed in the unstable versions
(2.3.x).

If this happens in 2.2.x, I think the workaround is to cancel the
transaction, close the register, then reopen it.
