Asset Allocation Report

Hi
I have no scheme skills whatsoever but I do understand opportunity cost.
So I have a proposal, I am happy to give the overall design  
specifications for an asset allocation report.
The bit of research I have done on the mailing list indicates that  
there is problem with creating asset categories, can the notes section  
of the asset account be used to store this?

I am also happy to contribute to the team or the individual or the  
project as a whole financially (to the value of the report)
The proviso is that the report is made available to the community on  
an open source license.

Or alternately if someone has already done this where can I find the  
code?
