All good points, and yes there are thousands of accounting/bookkeeping
primers on line and in print, of varying quality.  Also to be kept in
mind are differing accounting and taxation practices from country to
country.  I would not however want to embark on answering your need
question before consensus is reached on the three numbered questions
mentioned in my post of 2009-06-17 at 15:12 eastern daylight time North
America.
