Update function for GC Windows XP version

Dear GnuCash (GC) Developers,

Could you kindly add an "update" or "check for update" function in all future releases of GC for Windows XP?

This email probably should be posted to the developers mailing list. However, my emailbox is already flooded with too many user related emails on Linux, Mac or accounting specific issues that do not concern me so I dare not subscribe to another mailing list.
