Only January in GC after move from Linux to Mac

A little more info on this one.

1. I have obviously moved the GC directory from the linux machine, and not copied it as I thought. :(
2. I have copied the directory to a linux virtual machine on my computer and get the same result.
3. I have tested moving all the log and xac files from the data directory and just leaving the original file, which is called Accounts without a file type. When I do this, I get the same result as starting GC with all files, i.e. only January shows up.
4. I have tried re-reading the log files, using the option on the 'File' menu, but it doesn't seem to work, and I certainly can't mark all log files. In fact, only the first log file is marked on the Mac and I can't change that and select another. In the linux vm I can choose another log file and have just discovered that this changes the balances, but I have about 50 log files. Do I really have to read them one at a time?

Also I can't find any information about the files with a double name, like the last two in the sample above.
