Tracking share prices with gnucash

I hope that what I wrote wasn't too confusing.

I am still using ASX in the Type field.  After the first use, it was added to 
the list and available for my next security.  As Derek says, it is a free-form 
field: John, you can choose your own label.  You can even leave it as NASDAQ 
and everything will work; it will just be a bit illogical.  I thought that I 
would be locked into a NASDAQ (or whatever) format, but not so.

The download issue arises on the next screen.  That was where I had to 
nominate Yahoo Australia.  If you aren't downloading prices, you don't tick 
the box, and that question won't arise.
