budget report

dear list,
i am using gnucash 2.2.9 both on vista and linux.
my expense part of the chart of accounts has a structure with several
sub-accounts that on turn have sub-sub-accounts and so on up to 4
levels. i would need to have subtotals displayed in the budget report
for all my expense sub-accounts but the budget report present in gnucash
does not seem to provide this. it there any way to achieve it?
