NUM and Action field

I've been playing around with the NUM and action field in the
register.  When I used quicken I would use the check number or EFT for
electronic fund transfer and DEP AUTO etc... for the various
transactions types.  I noticed this is what the action field is in GC.

However, the only issue I have is that the NUM field does not have the
same properties as the action field.  I can enter this info in the
action field as get the same result, unless I use one line display,
then the NUM field is blank... unless.

Secondly, can I add EFT to the autofill options in the action field?
I guess I could use POS in place of EFT.  Anyway of getting the NUM
field to behave like the action field?
