"Edit exchange rate" has stopped working (2.2.9)

I always use the "auto-split ledger", and I'm talking about
right-clicking on one split of a transaction --- the one that refers
to the "other" account (e.g., I'm in the GBP bank account register and
clicking on the cash EUR split of the transaction) --- and trying to
change the resulting amount in the other (e.g, EUR) account.
