So long as you've saved in XML format rather than SQL, you should have no trouble opening your accounts files with 2.2.9. (If you have saved in SQL format, you can easily use File->Save As to copy your data into XML for 2.2.9.) 2.3.3 is a fairly old development snapshot and there are many improvements in the latest development versions, but we don't recommend that you use any development snapshot for production work. We don't know what bugs might cause you trouble, and while it might be working well for you now, you might encounter problems as you expand your use of the program into features which you aren't presently using, so it's a good idea to switch to 2.2.9.
