Hello,

I am currently using GnuCash and I absolutely love it.  I am an accountant
and I live in Alabama.  I graduated from the University of Auburn in 2001
and obtained my degree in Accounting and haven't ever looked back.  My point
is that I can really appreciate the need for a good double entry accounting
system not only in managing  the finances of a large or small business but
also in managing the day to day needs of a someone's personal finances.  I
wanted to e-mail you and thank you for developing this program.  I also
wanted to ask you a few questions about the program.  In using the program I
came across several things that I wanted to know that might make using this
system a little easier.  Is there a way to key in the general ledger account
number in the register instead of having to use the drop down box to select
the account that you want to charge to.  When I am keying alot of journal
entries, I like to be able to enter the account number directly because this
makes for keying journal entries much easier.  Is there a way to change the
preferences for the register to make this an option in the register.  I also
wanted to see if there is a way to customize reports to put a particular
company's name at the top.  Is there also a way to put watermarks on the
reports?  These are just some of the questions that I have come across while
using the program.  All in all it is pretty user friendly and best of all it
is free.  I am definitley going to recomend GnuCash to my clients.
