Just to test, I went to Reports>Income&Expense>Income Statemet:
I got both Income and expenses listed, and if I click on options, I can
select accounts, dates, layout styles, dual columns, accounting rules,
subtotals, etc.
I am using 2.2.9
Is that what you are looking for?
