I'm from Belgium as well and I'm very interested in getting VAT reports out of 
GnuCash.
Until now I haven't had time to figure out what's possible and what's not, but 
I eventually will get to that. But don't hold your breath while waiting, 
please ;) It's not my highest priority right now.
