Geert, thank you :)  So if I will use old DB backend I will not able to
migrate my data to a new data base?

The old postgresql backend is disabled by default. You can only enable it if
you compile GnuCash from source. This is not a job for the faint of heart,
even more so on Windows.

Personally, I don't think it would be a good idea at present to try and do
something with the obsolete postgresql backend.

It's not maintained, so although it can still work with 2.2.x in theory,
this hasn't been tested. Also, there won't be an upgrade path from the old
backend to the newer ones coming in 2.4.

If you are really interested in a database backend, you can help us
stabilize the 2.3.x code, by downloading the 2.3.x releases, test them and
report any bugs you find. But IMPORTANT: don't use the 2.3.x series on any
data you value. Always work on a copy, you don't mind losing.
