Problem locating Data File in Windows 7

Another question, When you say new clean install of Windows 7, do you mean
that you only cleaned your OS partition?  Did you remake the others?  If
not, you need to set give al your files over to full ownership to windows 7
admin. I bet, and this is an uninformed guess that you are having trouble
because Windows 7 is fighting old XP permission and ownership of old folders
in the other partitions.

Just guessing here, dosrry if I misunderstood.
