Problem locating Data File in Windows 7

Having originated this post I think it is now going way off beam......
I do know (to some extent) both the Windows and Linux systems and understand
fully about permissions and file rights etc.. etc......
I am using Windows 7 Professional NOT Window 7 Home Edition which I seem to
think some subscribers are talking about as my edition of Win7 doesn't
provide the "attribute paths" some have mentioned, at least I can't find
them......
I think maf.king may have a very valid point.......
I put out a Global search (one good point of Win7) for files under ".gconf*"
as suggested....
The result came back with this file in C:\User\User Name.....Folder
...".gconfd"
Also in the same folder ".gnucash".
I haven't done anything with these files until I hear back if I need
to......
GnuCash is currently un-installed but all of my Back-Up files are in tact
when needed..
Many Thanks to all subscribers..
Ron..
