I am just curious about why you would install 2.2.4 instead of 2.2.9? Is it
becasue thats what your linux dist. comes with?

Could you "save as" form the Notebook to a flash drive and see if you can
open it on the netbook from the flash drive that way. . If it works save as
to the netbook. Total shot in the dark, just offering what I would try
