Help on opening accounts

Hi folks,
What a great response! A lot of help out there!

My user name actually has spaces and periods after initials, and the
(often disastrous) apostrophe. I am one of those!

It seems from all the various posts that could be an issue. It seems I
would have to set up a new user to get past these issues? Because none
of my settings do get retained.
