Odd Register Behavior When Trying to Add An Account

This may not be the best place to make this observation, but there are
quite a few places where the GnuCash UI is, shall we say, somewhat
eccentric, and in some places this can be distinctly annoying (I offer
you the account selection panel in reports as an example!).  It would be
nice if it behaved a little bit more like people would expect.
