Different currencies add up to zero

I'm using Gnucash 2.2.9 for Windows.

I'm tracking my cash in different currencies, as follows:

Assets -> Current assets -> Cash GBP
                        |
                        +-------> Cash EUR
                        |
                         --------> Cash NOK

When I included other than the native currency, "current assets" and
"assets" show the value "0" even though the total cash > 0. Is this a bug,
or am I not getting something?
