Wrong balance for period (gnucash 2.2.9.4 on OS X)

I can think of two potential differences (note that I'm only guessing --
I haven't tried them or looked at the code).  But my first guess for the
difference would be whether or not it includes subaccounts.  My second
guess would be whether to amount is in the account currencies or
converted to the report currency.
