Gnucash runs from a .bin  file type, not an .exe file type.  Windows does not
make shortcuts for .bin files on the taskbar.   You have to launch from the
desktop, start/All programs/Gnucash folder.

I have often thought it would be nice for a programmer to come up with an
.exe form of gnucash.
