Memo field being ignored on qif import?

It's mostly a nomenclature thing.  There are three places you can put
data, using GnuCash's nomenclature:
- Transaction Description
- Transaction Notes
- Split Memos

There is only 1 Desc and 1 Notes field per Transaction, but each Split
has a memo field.

QIF supports this too, but only for true split transactions.  If you
want to get data into split memos you can, but again, only for true
split transactions.  In general P -> Desc, M -> Notes, but you can also
get split memos if you include them.

Note that it's the Transaction Notes field that gets printed into the
"Memo" portion of a printed check!
