Setting Column Width

Thank you. I can understand the necessity of having one or more
columns expanding when going to full screen but when it seems that all
the columns should remain visible, whether the same width or wider or
more narrow. Whether I went to full or partial screen the 'balance'
column was invisible off to the right. Adjusting the other columns to
its left just squeezed each other without pulling 'balance' in. I could
not see that column no matter what I did.
For whatever reason when I reopened GC after closing it the missing
column appeared. Everything seems OK although I am wary about trying to
adjust anything...
