Tommy, Thank you for your attention to my problem.
I have now solved this problem and find that the Perl download adds the Path variables automatically.
I am now struggling to get Funds to automatically update prices! I have Stocks automatically updating but Funds report that access to data to update has not been possible.
I shall struggle on and then if unsuccessful send in another request for help.

I have never used Windows 7 so I cannot confirm this, but a Google
search for "add windows 7 environment path" turned up this article:
