Transfer file - Win to Linux

Derek,

Thanks for the reply. I did an "save as XML" in 2.3, and it _seems_ that all of the transactions are present when I read it with 2.2.9. None of the reports are there, and I (for my peace of mind) want to audit it very carefully. The transfer seemed good enough that an audit will not be a waste of time.

You asked twice "why are you using a test release?". Near as I can remember, it wasn't painfully obvious that it was a test release when I downloaded it, and I definitely remember having to download several versions before finding one that worked under WinXP. I know about the Linux Kernel revision numbering scheme, but there aren't enough examples in GnuCash to make that association. In retrospect...

Thanks again,
Gary.
