You are welcome. I overlooked the link in the Windows GnuCash startup 
directory (I did check even, just didn't see it...).

As for the documentation, this is a volunteer project, so you are most welcome 
to send in a proposal for improved installation documentation or better yet 
add this information yourself at an appropriate spot in the GnuCash wiki 
(http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/GnuCash), for example the Windows page.
