Income Statement does not balance

Hi All

We are trying to  figure out what could possibly cause the Income
Statement report not to balance. We have a total of 257,312.07 for Total
Revenue, 198,436.14 for Total Expenses and "Net income for Period" of
60,123.33.

Now, using my trusty desktop calculator, I find that
257312.07-198436.14=58,875.93

The trial balance balances balance. The Balance Sheet (eguile) also
agrees with my desktop calculator and gives 58875.93 as total retained
earnings.

I would have thought that Gnucash would simply have done the above
simple calculation, but it seems that there is something else at play in
the income statement report. Any suggestions?

I am using version 2.4.5 running on a postgresql backend.
