Hi,

I may be missing the point here, but how does Quickbooks get the items onto
the statement?

In GC, you can run a "Customer Report", which sounds close to your description
of "statement" but you still have to enter the individual
transactions/invoices in GC to get them included in the customer's report.

The customer report is found at Reports -> Business -> Customer Report (then
select customer details), or run the Receivable aging (same menu), and click
on the relevant outstanding balance.

Maf.
