First Time to Reconcile - opening balance is wrong

She had entered correct amts but to wrong vendor or customer, instead of ammending the incorrect tx, she deleted the tx & re-entered a correct tx (same amt). When reading the mail about reconciling, I was just wondering if one of these deleted tx had been marked as reconciled would it affect it but if they're only cleared until fully finished the reconciling, then should be fine, thanks.
But am i right in thinking that once you've completed reconciling, that this doesn't block the tx from being deleted (in error)? You know how when an invoice is 'posted', you can't edit it until you 'un-post' it....would it maybe be an idea to have the same kinda thing with reconciled items..i.e. that it can't be deleted until it's 'un-reconciled/un-marked' thus avoiding the problem?..just a thought. Cheers.

Hi,

I'm fairly sure (without looking to check) that until you actually complete

the reconcile, the transactions that you have ticked are only marked

as "Cleared" not "Reconciled"

However, it does beg the question, that I wonder what there is to change on a

transaction which is showing on the bank statement...?
