When reading the mail about reconciling, I was just wondering if one of these deleted tx had been marked as reconciled would it affect it but if they're only cleared until fully finished the reconciling, then should be fine, thanks.

You know how when an invoice is 'posted', you can't edit it until you 'un-post' it....would it maybe be an idea to have the same kinda thing with reconciled items..i.e. that it can't be deleted until it's 'un-reconciled/un-marked' thus avoiding the problem?..just a thought. Cheers.

If you try to delete a reconciled transaction you get a warning that
it is reconciled. However this would be easy to miss as it is just
some extra text in the warning that you get anyway by default when
deleting.

I thought there was a warning when one attempts to edit a reconciled
transaction, but I have just tried it (version 2.4) and do not get a
warning. Is my memory faulty I wonder or has the warning got lost in
this version?

By the way Jane, your posts are very strangely formatted as you can
see below, as if they are supposed to be html but are not correctly
encoded. I see we are both using gmail so it is a bit odd.
