No online banking in 2.4.0 installation under Kubuntu

I've installed Gnucash 2.4.0 under Kubuntu, and I just discovered that none of 
the online banking facilities are in it.  I have a hunch what the cause might 
be: I installed the software in /opt/gnucash rather than in /usr/bin, so 
perhaps from that location it can't find aqbanking.  So --

1. Is that the likely explanation?

1. If it is, then how do I recover?

2. If it's not, then what should I do?
