Hi Cristian,
great job!

when I use firefox 3.6.13 windows vista I got:

on left side I have some space and on right side the vertical "gnucash" 
reaches into headline.
same firefox 5.0 opensuse 11.4


with internet explorer 8 (8.0.6001.19088) it looks strange too
