Style sheet images and invoice post date problems

I am using GnuCash 2.4.5 on a Mac - OSX 10.6.7. (I know there is a 2.4.6 release, but neither of my issues below are mentioned in the 2.4.6 notes, so I haven't upgraded)
SInce upgrading to 2.4.5 I have noticed two problems:
1) My "Invoice" style sheet keeps forgetting about my banner image.
About once a week I print an invoice and find my heading banner image replaced with a little icon that appears to signify a missing file. I then go edit the style sheet and see that Heading Banner says (none). Anyone know why it might be forgetting how to reach my banner image?
2) What is the expected behavior of posting an invoice regarding the post date?
Should it always be set to the current date when the "Post" button is pressed? I see that many of the invoices I've posted since going to 2.4.5 have a Date Posted much earlier than they should. Many have a Date Posted matching the first date listed in the invoice entries, but some have a date of a later invoice entry. Few have the correct Date Posted. I can't reproduce this problem with a new invoice - it's using today's date for the Date Posted - but maybe if I leave that invoice open until tomorrow it will stay stuck on today's date (June 6) even though I post it on June 7...?
Never had these problems with 2.2.9.
Thanks for any guidance on the above :-)
