I'm afraid this is a known bug [1], for which no solution is found yet. The
problem is not in the GnuCash code, but in a support library it uses. Refer to
the bug report for more details.
For now the only advice I can give is to either avoid vertically stacked tabs,
or never open more than fit the window (with a little bit of margin).
