Hmm, I didn't remember that bug which indeed got closed. There is 
unfortunately still an open bug that prevents date input in certain locales:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=497831

And if I read it correctly, Czech is one of these unfortunately. As a 
workaround you can change your date preference to anything but "locale" in the 
GnuCash preferences.
