Pointing this out like you did is a good way to get some attention to it. I 
have marked this bug as New (which would be the same as confirmed).

While check printing is not my area at all, I remember I looked at this 
briefly a couple of times in the past, but never found the core of the 
problem. And later on, since I'm not using check printing at all I forgot 
about it again.

I don't want to create false hopes here though: it's unlikely I'll have time 
to look into this again anytime soon. I can only confirm this bug for now.

Still, if you encounter other bugs confirmed by multiple users, don't hesitate 
to point them out. I do agree that it would be useful to at least mark valid 
bugs as confirmed.
