OFX import troubles

I'm still struggling w this. It seems that the ofx import code doesn't
like what's in the OFX file and it can't relearn a new account.

In the OFX file there is UNIQUEID and TICKER, both the same, and
SECNAME. I can have the GC Name matching SECNAME and the GC Symbol
matching UNIQUEID and TICKER

It appears that the account matcher is matching something else that I
have no control over, and can't reset. For example I renamed a security
to xx_backup and created a new one called xx. When I try to load the
OFX file, and chose an account with security xx, the error popup says:
"The chosen account does not have the correct currency/security
xx_backup (it has xx instead). This account cannot be used." .
But the security for that trans has a UNIQUEID and TICKER which are xx,
so I don't understand....

The workaround I've been using is to to create a new account & commodity
when I do the import. I can then merge the old account and the new
account. But thats sloppy because I lose all price history. I'm also
not sure that is always works.

I think perhaps a reset of the Bayesian match is worth trying, but I
can't figure out how to do that. An email a few months ago from Derek
said something about 'it's stored in the KVP frame of the account', but
a search of my unzipped xml file doesn't show any KVP, so that doesn't
mean anything to me.

Also when I search the code for the strings in the error message, I
can't find them. Are the strings in binary someplace? I thought I
could locate the code where this is coming from & learn something.

I opened up a bug report, but no one has touched it.
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=648523
I tried creating a test OFX file, but haven't been successful.
