It looks like an interesting feature request but I 
don't see how that would help with the issue I am 
talking about.  Even without editing anything, if I 
have a single transaction like:

  Assets:Receipts         $150.00 
  Assets:Receipts         $200.00
  Assets:Bank:Checking              $350

and I am in the Assets:Receipts register, the transaction
will be shown twice, even in Basic Ledger view.
